Appleyards
Delicatessen
Shrewsbury Shropshire UK
"a great place to buy cheese (whether you want
to eat it or paint with it!)"
Iım
thrilled to welcome Appleyards as the very first Shrewsbury
stockist of my works.
Existing
customers of this wonderful Delicatessen and business of long-standing
already know that Nita and her family offer a very personal service
selling a wide variety meats and cheeses from around the UK and the
Continent with an expanding range of organic fruit and organic vegetables.
A veritable Alladinıs cave I was first attracted to the shop by the
often interesting array of bottles of oils of one sort or another
because I collect these as containers for the various concoctions
I use in my studio.
Recipes
for painting mediums and dilutents often have roots in the same materials
that one can cook with and the oldest form of painting binder is egg
and still the most durable. One can also paint with cheese. When it
is mixed with Ammonia (donıt try this at home!) it makes Casein which
is used to make casein tempera paint.
A
range of quality prints and original Art at affordable prices is now
available in the shop presented in a way that does not intimidate
the viewer, you can have fun viewing works often painted in the same
ingredients youıll be eating at dinner!
